    Good day, IWL.

Rare occurrence - fresh craptastic cellphone pictures of Thursday's watch on Wednesday night's wrist. It's only because I wanna get the dates and moony right.

Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Very nice, Robert. I don't have a moonphase watch in my collection. Now that I'm through this (self-imposed) watch diet, wonder if I ever will. I can always admire the ones posted here.

We could trade for a while if you want to try it. I really enjoy this watch, but like so many of my collection, I am not ridiculously attached to any of it. I love the vintage artsy look of a moon-phase, and I enjoy complicated watches. I don't especially feel like setting them correctly every time I wear them though, and most of the time I am happy with a simple 3-hander.

Thanks a lot, Robert. However, a friend has that exact same model and I already had the chance to try it on. Ironically, the watch is being serviced - it has been his single, trusty daily watch for years; nice and robust timepiece.

It would be a perfect "one watch all the time" sort of watch, along with a quartz beater maybe. The visibility of the hands, for me, is one of its only weaknesses. My eyesight isn't great, and the hands tend to blend into the dial just a bit. Otherwise, it is my favorite dial variation of this Oris model.

I agree. It's also my main criticism, specially now, when my eyes are far from what they used to be. And that is starting to become an important factor in my choices.
Can't be young forever, can we?
