Swatch Group Novelties 2019
Apologies if this has been already discussed somewhere else but I can't find any info on how, when and where they are going to be releasing their new models.
I would like to see if Omega is going to update the clasp on their Aqua Terras.
Any info or anything that you would like to see?

In general, I would like to see more taper in the bracelets and thinner clasps and cases.
And a price reduction in their NATO straps...come on, throw me a bone here!

The Swatch group held it's own watch fair in Zurich. No press or photos allowed. In the next few weeks we should see some new models announced. From what I heard it will be April/May.

Zurich was Omega and up only. For the US the other Swatch brands had a event the end of February. Zurich was as Richard indicated where the February event was open to public.

Thanks for the info! That is a weird move but hey, if it works for them.

Trade shows are expensive. I see more brands dropping out and leaving smaller brands and independents to shine. These two articles sum it up.

I’ve heard some rumors from my friend who went to the event
Another 40mm LE Bp FF
Zenith A386 remade with non rounded case
Longines without ugly date window (I know it’s still vague as he’s not allowed to speak about it)

The only thing Omega has unveiled is the gold version of the moon landing 50th anniversary Speedy:

There is supposed to be a SS version as well, but it is still under wraps.

Did it? No buzz when most other brand are being talked about whether good or bad. Still those brands are being talked about. This is a big anniversary year for them and all we got so far is a solid gold speedy that was dismissed in three posts. Omega seems to have the longest development period to bring something to market. When they do announce in May Rolex will already be delivering watches. Maybe that is why they have such a big back log? I’d chalk this up as a huge fail.
I got a little overview of the higher end Swatch offerings and I believe it was another higher end Swatch brand that will have more buzz when the cover comes off. That is all I’m allowed to say.

Omega has one of the top 3 or 4 clasps out there, wouldn't you say?
