Something blue this way comes, something Bucherer blue!

Much like the gold touch of Midas; everything Bucherer touches turns to blue; previously, we’ve seen both the stunning BLACK BAY Bronze, and beautiful Fifty Fathoms BATHYSCAPHE get brushed with Bucherer blue.

Today, the Swiss luxury watch retailer has turned its attention to another popular classic Swiss diver’s watch, the Oris Divers Sixty-Five Chronograph.

With its retro looks it brings the promise of new materials and blue elements to the Bucherer Blue Editions collection.

First off, the Divers Sixty-Five Chrono swaps out its olde worlde bronze case for a modern anti-corrosive Stainless steel watch case, used exclusively for this special Bucherer Blue Editions watch.

Also manufactured specifically for Bucherer in deep blue, is its dial and its aluminum bezel insert; blue elements that play off against a final blue touch that the watch has, the blue stitching on its vintage aged leather strap.

The deep blue dial is perfectly complemented with light old radium colored luminous indexes.

A further unique feature of the special edition are titanium-filled hands and the symmetrical, bicompax arrangement of the indexes.

While the final unique feature of the watch is a simple engraved line of text on its case-back with words, ‘’BUCHERER BLUE EDITIONS”.

Besides the obvious Bucherer Blue Editions, the use of blue is particularly apt as Oris has been campaigning for ocean conservation for many years and therefore associates the color blue with this noble endeavor.

The ORIS Divers Sixty Five Chronograph Bucherer Blue Editions has a Swiss retail price of 3’950CHF and is exclusively available form selective Bucherer boutiques.

Thoughts? I think we can expect another Divers Sixty-Five Chrono or two in Stainless steel a little further down the road but until then, there’s this which is nice, bloody nice!
