Thread: Watch box/case recommendations?

    Watch box/case recommendations?

I found a scratch on my mineral crystal Citizen yesterday -- I haven't worn it for a while so it must have been caused while moving around in storage... So to avoid further casualties, I'm thinking of a box.

Would you have any recommendations that tick these boxes:
    - 12-16 slots
    - ~150 euros/pounds max
    - solid build
    - no cardboard elements
    - display glass tolerated if it doesn't compromise the sturdiness

    I'm currently looking at:
    - WOLF 309806 (doesn't look too sturdy and the magnet lock looks like a joke but I may be wrong)
    - Friedrich|23 carbon
    - Sacher
    - Davidt (are they legit or just pimped up Chinese tat?)

I'm open for briefcase-like or pouch designs, too. Pelicans look too plasticky but not absolutely out of the question yet.

    So, any recommendations? Cheers!

why not have some fun and build your own old ammo case can be had for under £50 strong lockable and you could pimp it out to your own taste ..thought about doing it many times

Same with Wolf, as I read somewhere.

I know they're not pretty (I have them out of sight ) but I prefer to keep my watches in aluminium cases; they offer a bit of protection and are easy to handle.

    Just one example - they have models for 8, 12, 24 watches and the prices are within your budget;

    You can find them here,

but there are other - probably cheaper - options available from other sources. Unfortunately, some of the cheaper examples are extremely fragile.

For maximum protection and waterproof, but rather bulky for my taste,

They're available from a lot of sources, again, within your budget.

Yup -- very nice, and very reasonably priced. I've been very happy with mine.

Case Club does good work adapting Pelican cases. They're a reasonable priced, reasonable briefcase size, durable (waterproof apparently), locking. I've got one with 10 watch slots and a slot for straps, accessories etc.
