Rare opportunity for some NOS RGM collaboration watches.

Full Disclosure: I am the moderator of the Rado forum over at Equation of Time. I have Geoff's permission to post this.

Roland G Murphy and Equation of Time have a long history together, stretching back to the beginning of that forum. Over the years Roland has collaborated with the forum to create at least three forum specific watches as well as the legendary Model 22 Deck Watch, which had an EoT Limited Edition.

Recently Roland found a small cache of the second and third collaboration watches. These are two of the Unitas powered C2s and 7 Sea 3s.

I don't know too much about the C2 but the Sea 3 is a large 300M Dive watch powered by a chronometer spec 2824-2. They were orignally available in a startling array of colours and hand combinations. The watch originally sold for $1200 US in 2006 and I have heard a rumour that they may have been as high as $2K. I am told these will be offered for a significant discount.

One Sea 3 is already reserved. The other 8 watches can be seen by following this link. There are also more details.

Here is one version of the Sea-3.

Rare opportunity for some NOS RGM collaboration watches.

I believe the Sea 3 have a 2892 in them. They have a unique double bezel and if there are any with the bracelet they are some of the heaviest I’ve seen. The cases where by Fricker.

Hi Folks, Along with Henry, I am a moderator at EOT, and happy to help answer any questions. Thanks, Geoff, for allowing this cross-pollination of two great fora.

The Sea-3 was produced in only 300 examples, 10 or so of which were black pvd coated. As stated by Michael, the cases are German and the bezel is a proprietary design by RGM.
To clarify, the movement is a 2824, as shown below:

Unfortunately, no bracelet or straps are included with the Sea-3s being offered here. The stock of them was sold out long ago, and only these watch heads are available.

The C-2 examples offered come with the bracelets shown.

Pricing and the opening of the order period will be announced May 2 around noon EDT (GMT -5) on EOT.
    Cheers,
    Brad

As stated by Smanator, the cases are German

    Hi Larry,
These were not built back in the mid-2000s, they were recently built of the parts that were originally ordered as part of the initial release. The movements have been serviced. That said, this is essentially a divestiture of the existing stock so they are sold as-is. No warranty is provided...the price will reflect that.
