RGM Skeleton, 2 years down the road
Well, it’s almost done, and Roland has announced the skeleton models:

Mine will be with a brushed case, and the smaller 42mm size. It will also have some special engraving on the back. It’s almost done, just the case engraving to be done. Once I have it I will of course post pictures.

Awesome. I visited RGM last year around April and saw the CAD renderings and some prototype movement parts, but was sworn to secrecy!
Very exciting!

Well, he’s publicly announced the model now, so it doesn’t seem like it should be an issue at this point.

For those who don’t know, I approached Roland about this a little over two years ago, envisioning a skeleton that was more industrial and less ornate, with as much open space as possible. We went through a couple of iterations of movement drawings. The three pronged seconds hand was Roland’s idea; the thin bezel (but still with minute markers for practicality) was mine.
It will of course be serial #001.

That's very cool. I like the anti-frilly aesthetic.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.
