    Seiko mod

Does anyone on here modify watches?

I've decided that I want to modify a seiko as my next watch. I've been looking at seiko mods for years and I think I'm ready to try it myself.

So if anyone on here does it I'd love some pictures or advice

maybe not sometimes they get missed I sometimes think better to put in central then when the thread goes quite get a mod to push it to the relevant sub-forum for reference purpose's

yeah the modern ones get mixed result I bought a ready done one for a ton fifty and when I got bored sold it and best I could get was fifty plus I think it was ..it's weird but the part cost more then it's worth once done on some ones ( alot not all the mickey ones seem to have some following )

but as a fun project you can't beat it as normal it's just hands dial inserts and bezels which are fairly easy to swap around so good starting point and a beat up seiko are fairly cheap mean the 6309 movement for example is like £20 or £30 but the 7s26 is a bit more hefty to get so yeah alot of time it's got to be done for the love of it

The pic isn't loading for me.

I think I need to buy someone else's project to make it actually affordable

Iíve done a few in my day. Mostly 6309ís and 007/009ís. There are a ton of parts out there for them.

My suggestion is to start with something you wonít mind screwing up at first, and invest in some decent basic tools (screwdrivers, Jaxa case opener, pry knife, masking tape).

Then depending on how far youíre going dial protector, hand pulling/setting tools, crystal press. And finger cots to prevent those pesky fingerprints.
