Andy Yang, Director Of Marketing – TAG Heuer Autavia Calibre Heuer 02 For HODINKEE

TAG Heuer watches have a special place in my heart; many moons ago, when I was about to graduate from college, I was given a TAG Heuer wristwatch. It was the first "nice thing” I was gifted, and was what got me into watches. I can still remember conversing about mechanical watches with my manager at my first job, who introduced me to the world of horology. That is why I am picking the Autavia Calibre Heuer 02 for HODINKEE. This watch has a lot of heritage and was commissioned by HODINKEE – I think that's about as special as it gets.
Dillon Shoe, Shop Associate – NOMOS Glashütte Club Campus Neomatik 39 Midnight Blue

Regardless of whether your graduate already has a collection or you are looking to gift them their first watch, this piece is sure to satisfy. It's not often that you find an in-house movement from a great brand for under $3,000, and with a case size of 39.5mm and the California configuration for the numerals (both Arabic and Roman), this piece is truly unique and worth every cent. I'm a huge fan of the Midnight Blue version – the contrast between the numerals and hands against the deep blue really makes the dial pop, and is sure to catch the eye.
Ashley Kinder, Shop Manager – Moulded Oak-Tanned Leather Case

Whether your graduate has a small and growing collection, or a larger, more established collection, a travel case is a fantastic gift. One of my favorites right now is the Moulded Oak-Tanned Leather Case, which is available for two, four, six, or eight watches. The beautiful oak-tanned leather is carefully moulded to hold its shape without plastic or wood fillers, meaning there's more interior space but in a thinner package. Because of the intensive process to make these special cases by hand, each one takes more than two weeks to create. The result is stunning, and a fitting way to carry one's watches into a new stage of life.
Adam Becker, Shop Associate – Grand Seiko SBGW231

I just love this watch so much. It's basically the perfect size for any wrist; the movement, handset, and case are finished to within an inch of their proverbial lives, and because it's Grand Seiko, it keeps time super well. In my opinion, it's worth way more than its sub-$5,000 price point. It's dressy but not "too dressy," so your lucky graduate will be able to wear it to job interviews and out with friends on the weekend. I'm considering going back to school just so I can graduate and hopefully get this watch as a gift!
Saori Omura, Senior Shop Manager – Oris Big Crown Pointer Date

You want a watch that feels a bit grown up, but not too serious – and the Oris Big Crown Pointer Date checks off all the boxes. It has a solid heritage as a tool watch from the company's 1930s pilot design, which is now perfectly scaled to a wearable 40mm case, while maintaining a vintage vibe with the coin-edge bezel and red pointer calendar. And let's not forget about the precise and reliable Swiss self-winding Selita movement inside. The watch is classy but unafraid to stand out, and everyone should start off fearless when embarking on a new journey in their lives.
Danis Cespedes, Shop Associate – Longines Heritage 1945

What better way to start a conversation in an interview or social event than with the lovely Longines 1945 on your graduate's wrist. The vintage-inspired reissue is definitely one that you just can't keep your eyes off of, and the copper dial and the light blue hands' subtlety are versatile enough*to pair well with a suit or blue jeans. At a price point under $2,000, this present will not only be a great memory and story, it'll be a symbol of the start of your graduate's career.
Harry Bonay, Shop Associate – Embassy Pen

Whether they are headed to college or into the workforce, gift your graduate something that they will use and cherish every day. Nothing will come in more handy than a pen that you can not only trust to write under any circumstances, but will also serve in an endless list of situations. Inside the pen is a cartridge originally created for NASA for writing in space; they are pressurized so that you can write upside down, underwater, etc. The hefty weight and industrial look only add to the overall cool factor, and the unibody brass rod doubles in use for anything from self-defense to hammering in a nail.
Russell Kelly, Chief Commercial Officer – Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 38mm

When I first started to learn about watches I was impressed by the approachable value that Zenith offered with an in-house manufactured movement and an impressive Swiss provenance. I dreamed of Zenith being my first watch from a true "manufacture." With this 38mm Zenith Chronomaster, featuring the storied El Primero integrated chronograph movement, you get a modern watch in vintage proportions that can be just as comfortable for the first day of your new dream job as it is on a casual night on the town. Whether for business or fun you can’t go wrong with this one.
Aram David, Photographer – Master & Dynamic MH40 Over-Ear Headphones

Celebrate a recent grad by helping them graduate from music lover to audiophile with the Master & Dynamic MH40s. These headphones sport a retro look, but feature a modern listening experience thanks to Neodymium Drivers that give depth and detail to everything you pipe through them. The over-ear construction lets you block out the world (or office) around you, making them perfect for anything from conference calls to music. With lambskin cushioning and an aluminum construction, it's hard to find a more well-made pair of headphones ready for whatever life will throw at them… and what better way to celebrate your newly minted grad ready for their step into the real world.
