It's in a similar condition to last year's CYMA: i.e. The 'tin worm' has feasted on the chrome plate. .... and the dial's none too pretty either.
On the plus side, it is running after a few winds.
More later when I've had a closer look.

The watch is lovely, but for me far better is a favourite Kayaking route. Back when I lived in Brighton, the paddle from Seaford to Cuckmere Haven and back was my absolute favourite. Absolutely deserted, towering white cliffs on one side and sea as far as the eye could see the other. Lovely. Thanks for the sudden unexpected memory!

Here's the approach to Cuckmere with the Seven Sisters the other side of the river mouth:

    Idyllic.

It has got more than a passing resemblance to the Smiths hasn't it. Any chance of a picture of the movement?

Typical... I told myself I wouldn't spend any more and go with what I had, but I still had a couple of £20 bids in on lots that I was convinced I'd be outbid on ..... I've just won them both.
Whether any of them is a better candidate than the Mira remains to be seen....
