When I was looking for my first Rolex, the Explorer II (Black) was amongst the top on the list. But I held back because of this:
I know they are two different watches, but there is also too much similarities in the looks department.
So, if I so decide to pick up the Explorer II, I would probably trade this for that.

Which watch did you / will you trade in for your Rolex?

:-)
I wasn't meaning this Tudor particularly, just that the technology and aesthetics are right up there, so Rolex is basically a name you're paying all that extra dosh for, imo
Goes against my (on my mum's side) Northern sensibilities :-)

Not planning to trade anything for my first Rolex. I'm trying to stop buying all the other crap I can't stop buying so I have some money left to buy it with....
It will be a 16570 white and then I'm done buying watches.

I didn't trade anything for my Rolex but it did change my focus, and I probably will lose a number of watches as a consequence.

I've never traded anything for a Rolex. I'm actually thinking of trading one of my Rolexes for another Tudor, although it will have to be the right one.
I know....I'm not right in the head.
