When it comes to hunting down vintage watches on eBay, it can be a gold mine, but it can also be a minefield. Our very own Christoph McNeill (you all might know him as Instagram’s @VintageDiver) wrote a must-read, common sense guide to buying vintage watches on eBay (check out Part 1 and Part 2). So if you’re looking for a vintage watch, but are still a little nervous diving head-first into those murky waters, then don’t worry — we’re here to help! *Today, we have another installment of eBay Finds, our series where we highlight some great vintage gems looking for a new home. Happy hunting!

Movado – Sub Sea Kingmatic

Kicking things off is this absolutely gorgeous vintage 1960s Movado Sub Sea Kingmatic dress watch. With its simple classic dial and thin case and lugs, it has that clean Mad Men styling with the thin lugs and clean silver dial that makes this one easy to like. It features the original signed crown and a great looking raised medallion logo on the back of the unpolished case. At 34.5mm it’s not going work for everyone, but this is a really clean dress watch with a reasonable buy-it-now that’s perfect for whoever loves this style of watch.

Tissot – *Lemania Chronograph

Next up is this great vintage Tissot chronograph. This example looks to be around 35 or 36mm wide with an unpolished, not-overly-banged-up case. We have what appears to be a clean silver dial with steel markers and hands here, but the crystal protecting that dial is cracked and will need to be replaced. The auction title dates this to 1946, but the hands say ‘60s to me, so I’m thinking the seller is off by a few decades. Regardless, the listing says the Lemania movement is running, so this one should be ready to go with just a little TLC.*

Jenny – Caribbean 300 (Modern Reissue)

With so many “heritage” re-issues of vintage models out there, there are a lot of great vintage-inspired pieces to choose from if you love that old school vibe but don’t want to deal with the headaches often associated with vintage. Case in point, this great Jenny Caribbean 300. It has that awesome vintage styling, complete with the iconic orange decompression bezel. This is #28 of a limited edition of 500, and it’s being sold by the original owner who claims to have purchased it earlier this year. Looks like it, because the condition here is ace.

Croton – Chronomaster Sea Diver Aviator Chronograph*

The Croton Chronomaster Aviator Sea Diver probably has the coolest name of any watch, and in recent years it has become increasingly more sought after by collectors. This example has the incredible and high-valued Valjoux 23 caliber, and the dial is clean with a bit of patina to the hands, which only adds to its character. The bezel is very clean on this example, which is great because they are often quite worn. Like so many popular vintage models, these usually sit with overpriced “buy it now” asks, so here’s your chance to get a nice one at auction likely for a much better price.*
