    Watches with their "real-world" namesakes

Inspired by OhDark30's Watches doing what they do thread I thought it would be fun to see some pics of watches with a non-watch namesake. Like a Cartier Tank with a real tank, a Sumo with a Sumo wrestler or a Tuna with a tuna fish, you get the idea.

I'll start things of with the G.gerlach Otago Heart of darkness with the Joseph Conrad book from which it got its name.

I do have a certain 47mm Halios watch, but I don't do Ice hockey, so I'm stuck.

I guess I need to find a B-1 airplane, Ayrton Senna, Jacques Cousteau, and go to Monte Carlo immediately.

Yeah, think I need to find him too: I don't know of any other legendary divers (Yes, I have Google, but that's just cheating !) for this:

    According to Omega at least...

Still, any excuse is a good excuse in my book!

Mind you, this is my book (complete with a tenuous Air King)

Sure, it's one of the very few original Mk 1a spitfires, but it's a late 1a built by Westland down in the West Country as they learned how to build them. It's taking off in directly in front of St George's Memorial Chapel at Biggin Hill, which is about as poignant as it gets to my mind.

My late aunt lived just down the road in Westerham and served as a WAAF there and, as a result, I don't think I've missed an airshow there since the early seventies.

Will this do for a Speedmaster? That is the original meaning, after all...
