This coming Monday is the kick-off of the ninth edition of Madison Avenue Watch Week, the annual watch-centric event in which the boutiques of some of watchmaking's most prestigious brands will open their doors to enthusiasts, and give everyone a chance to see the latest introductions from this year, as well as perennial classics from their permanent collections. Participating brands will be A. Lange & Söhne, David Yurman, De Beers, F. P. Journe, Hublot, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Montblanc, Panerai, and Vacheron Constantin. Apple will also be hosting folks at the Apple Store on Madison Avenue for a daily one-hour introduction to the Apple Watch (the company participated in Madison Avenue Watch Week for the first time last year, and it looks like they're planning on participating on a regular basis).*
There will also be some special events from various brands as well – on Thursday, A. Lange & Söhne will host a presentation by one of their master watchmakers, of some of the most interesting new 2019 pieces (an opportunity to see the new Zeitwerk Date in person, by the way) and Panerai's hosting a champagne toast and viewing of the latest new pieces on Monday night.
