I just checked and a standard Balboa dial is 26mm so I'm not sure if your dial might be a bit tight. It's your call mate but you're welcome to try it.

I reckon that might work as the outer edge of the dial is meant to be hidden. I could try it anyway.

If the Balboa case doesn't work you could always try a stainless steel case as they often need a movement holder for the 2824. I've got a couple of varieties knocking around in the drawer as options.

What a shame it didn't fit, although I think it looks great now anyway.

You can always turn the dial down to fit.

I could, but this watch has sentimental value and it would seem like overstepping the mark to reduce the dial down. Its an interesting quandary though because it raises a question to me of what part of the watch holds the sentimental value, dial, movement, case? For me, its the dial. I am happy to change the hands, case etc, even the movement could be swapped (though I would struggle emotionally with that I think!) but as long as I still have the dial I'm comfortable.
BTW, I am going to post the sub case to you on Monday morning. Hope that's ok.

I wouldn't mess with it is it has sentimental value, nothing else is off limits for me though. Looking forward to that case, always fun to build a watch to give away. Let me know the cost.
