Orient Mako XL, orange bezel and orange tie. Yes, I wear bow ties.

Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

    WEDNESDAY 29 APRIL '15

enjoying this one on the wrist... i've read numerous time that some people hate the cheap 5 series and it look dull.... one tips from me.. remove the bracellet.. yes, it is that aweful, but the watch itself is really lovely and run superb... and also, get the non black or white dial like blue, orange, yellow or even purple, and you'll have fun with them =)

this one is wearing 20mm strap tappered to fit 18mm lugs..

    have a great day everybody!

Lovely dial, Iyonk! While many people see Seiko 5's as cheap Seiko watches, I see them as solid values. Once you know what stands behind the ''5'', you know you're getting a pretty solid watch for a very good price. I mostly agree with you for the bracelets, even if some do come with decent ones, when you are a talented strap maker it just make more sense to use you own

I enjoy my Seiko 5 and I enjoy them with the shield on them!!!

i agree with you... after comparing my swiss automatic to these japanese affordable, i actually give them more respect since they keep great time and super affordable pricetag!

i still have seiko 5 from '96 and seiko 5 superior from '97, never been serviced, still keep excellent time... like you excellently said... solid value =)
