Congrats Sedi. Seems to be a very robust model. Fairly heavy for a cheapie. I havent determined yet if the crystal is acrylic or mineral, but it doesnt scratch easily like acrylic. I think its mineral. Only way I'm 100% convinced would be to purposely scratch it then try to polish with polywatch. I'm not that curious.

    I like this model.

Thanks! It's bigger than I thought and 200 m water proof like a G-Shock. And I love the buttons. I think the crystal is acrylic but I'm not sure. I'll try to put it on a velcro strap I ordered but I'm not sure if it'll look good because it will produce a gap where the strap meets the case.
    Cheers, Sedi

Correction: I just checked the German Casio website and the crystal is mineral. Even better and true to the original DW-290.

I have been looking for a retro style digital watch with non-retro dimensions. Tomex and Casio classic 80’s squares are often 36mm or less.

The databank models provide a greater wrist presence and the databank/calculators even more so. The price, of course, is that one must be willing to descend into full nerd mode. That’s a price I am willing to pay on occasion.

With all this in mind, today I have been wearing a new arrival — Casio DBC-32-1ACB:
