    Is this a Longines cal.17.69NZ?

    I’ve been trying to identify this. Is it a match for this one on Ranfft?

    no don't think so the racket cog ( clicker ) what ever the names is is in the wrong place top on your pic bottom on the other looks very similar to it thou plus missing a good few parts

    Yes, lots of rusty gaping holes! And the ratchet wheels in a different position! I completely missed that too!

    I was going to start looking for a donor movement but not sure what I’m looking for yet. Ranfft doesn’t seem have a 15j match.

    well can tell ya it's early say 1920's or 1930's probably 30 x 30 mm is it a sub six ?

    remember that movement from a dennison sub-six in a gold case got z332 in my head for some reason sure I got the link some where

    Yes it’s a sub sec. Can’t figure out how to remove the stem so haven’t removed it from the case yet.

    That config looks closer. But the anodized gold finish looks much more high-end.

    think it's a version of the old Longines 12.68Z maybe ?


    17 jewelled version in pic but to show the more standard basic version

    think you have a problem their as think their is a small screw level with the stem by the top cog ..but on your pics looks like the screw head as broke away maybe

    Yes. I haven’t been able to get any purchase on the screw. If it’s rusted... could be a problem. Was thinking of reverting to WD40 but there’s no coming back from that decision...
