    May 2015 Photo Competion

Back again for another round of photo fun. Many thanks to all who competed and voted in April, and to muddy250 for his big win!

For the month of May, our theme will be Black and White. Interpret that topic as creatively as you wish, but please follow these simple rules:

    1. Only one photo submission per person. You are free to change your entry as often as you like up until the submission deadline.
    2. Watch-related content must be included in the photo
    3. All entries must be made by midnight GMT on May 10th

Please post your entries here, and feel free to include any explanations or descriptions about the photo and its contents. I will be providing a prize from my own personal stash of watch goodies, but I have not determined what it will be yet. Stay tuned!

    May the best WIS win!

In the interest of time, perhaps we should give the prize to Henry Krinkle, and call it a day!

The blackest black dial I have, the whitest white dial I have, a Leica M6 loaded with Kodak Tri-X 400 B&W film, some more Tri-X and Ilford XP2 400 in the background. The photo in the foreground is one of the most famous B&W photos of the last century, V-J Day in Times Square by Alfred Eisenstaedt.

This photo was taken digitally but processed in the style of pushed Tri-X film. This might have turned out more about photography.... I might have to revisit this, not a very creative idea in terms of the watch content :/

All right. My first choice was a shot of my Longines Heritage 1951 chronograph. It has a b&w dial / hands and it's on a black nato, anyway.

On second thoughts, guess the old omega (cal. 30T2) would be more appropriate. Please, forget the Longines and accept this pic, instead:

You are very kind Jane, but there are more than a few here who can make a fine black and white picture.
