It doesn't. I just make sure I lift it out slowly.
There's nothing important to read here.

You'll have to take my word for it but I was wearing a watch when I took all of these photos. I was a little busy to snap the watch though.

    Southern stingray.

Lesser Electric ray. This little guy can deliver a 30 volt shock.

Different Southern stingray. The tail and nose on this one almost make it look like an Eagle Ray. While they can be found a mile or two from where this photo was taken I do not think they come into water this shallow (<20ft.)

Caribbean Whiptail, with remoras. These are BIG fish. I encountered dozens of these on this particular trip, including a school (?) of half a dozen.

    Watch pictures to match

I don't really dive anymore, but I do plenty of snorkelling...does that count? I can still drag my fat old carcass down to 4-5 meters and linger there awhile, on a good day.

Of course, many of these aren't actually dive watches, but oh well.

Thanks! I imagine the "Thou Shall Not Get Vintage Watches Wet" crowd is nearly apoplectic by now, after seeing my post.
