We are very excited to announce our first ever watch photography workshop in partnership with Leica Store San Francisco. Managing editor Stephen Pulvirent and senior writer James Stacey will present a full day of programming that combines presentations and hands-on, practical photography sessions. This will include a discussion on the history of watch photography and how techniques for photographing watches have evolved over the last few decades, our workflow for retouching and sharing images that best show off particular watches, and opportunities to try out different photography set-ups optimized for product shots and lifestyle images.
The workshop will take place at the Leica Store San Francisco on Wednesday, August 21, from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, as part of the store's week-long five-year anniversary celebration. The cost of the full day of programming will be $595 and the workshop is limited to 25 participants to ensure that everyone in attendance gets ample hands-on shooting time. If you've ever wondered how we create the thousands of photographs we share each year and how you can get similar results out of your watch collection, this is a rare opportunity to learn for yourself.
If you would like to participate, please email events@hodinkee.com to let us know. We will be emailing admitted participants later this week to confirm and process payment. We hope to see you there!
