    Hopefully (fingers crossed) I will have my Oris back on my wrist by Tuesday evening. My AD received it on Monday from Oris, but wanted to keep it on their timer for 24 hrs. Hopefully, everything will be fine and I can get to the store before it closes! Have a great Tuesday IWL friends!

    Two of my very first LED watches, circa 1974. Hot on the heels of Pulsar's release in 1972, electronics manufacturers such as National Semiconductor, Sanyo, and so on scrambled to crank out lower-priced LED modules, since most of us couldn't afford Pulsar's lofty price. Canada's Birks Jewellers chain offered these Fairchild-powered LED's for $99.95 each, affordable for those days. Each of mine has had a couple of module transplants; lower-end LED watches tended to be fragile, and non-repairable. But I still have them, and wear them occasionally as a reminder of those heady days.
