    patina

    Here is my brass Armida yesterday

    and here it is after a seven hour soak in lemon juice.

    That patina is partly from the Mediterranean (a beach off Nice, sweating in Rome, and kayaking off Montenegro) and a trip to Honduras. Now that it's clean I think I'm ready for some new adventures.
    Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

    but... but... isn't that the point of a bronze watch?

    Too many watches, not enough wrists.

    It can be. My original plan was to do nothing to it and just let the patina go. But, then I thought it looked a little TOO patina'd so I washed some of it off. The color is quite different than it was when I originally got it. I like the softer look.

    That's all the internet is. A giant bring and brag. And those trips weren't all in one year. That's several summers worth of travel.
