    **** Those that never made it - Pocket watch addition ****

    well love very cheap tat lot buys, so at the price I buy some not surprised they are to shot to be fixed so thought I might do a thread on those pocket watch that do not get repair for one reason or other a last hooray for them So I will start with a set of josmar Baumgartner 866 1970's pocket watches. I say a set their was two one will be going in my bits box as possible fixer later as think it just needs a pallet or pallet jewel so to the other one.

    As I said it's a josmar Baumgartner 866 1970's pocket watches.

    well the case is slow to open the spring needs to be re-shaped so it will spring open instead of just opening then you have to pull it down, the movement spacer is missing the hair spring is snagged the pallet jewel or pallet is either missing or damaged and thats what I can see so yes will be a straight flip back to the bay I think

    Goodness! Wouldn't it be easier and less expensive to replace the whole movement?

    well yes there was two faulty ones so thought I could make one working one out of it but both had same fault my way of looking these are like the america dollar pocket watches .
