Breitling Colt - High Accuracy Quartz

So, I think it'll soon be time to add a new piece to the stable. I am seriously considering one of these as:

    They look good
    I don't have a HAQ
I don't mind a date on a Quartz watch (as I don't need to keep setting it)
I am after a change from a black face this time
I don't have a Breitling (so no brand duplication)

I am a bit torn between these two specs. I think the green leather and white face version looks great fun, but the steel and blue face version could be more practical in use.

I would be be keen to here from anyone with experience of these. How have you found them? Are the straps any good over time? I have a friend who has the chronograph Colt on steel, and he's been happy with that.

Also, any view on the two versions I've created above? I am drawn towards the top one, but would I tire of it?
