Moi aussi. Of course, I'm also old. And married for more than 20 years.

Currently, I am content with one main watch, and the ability to change straps meets my "diversity" needs. If money were no object, there might be another "one" out there, and knowing me, it would probably become my main watch. A number of contemporary psychologists say that people are happier with fewer choices rather than too many, and I think I fall into that category. I know this is probably not the norm on IWL, however!

Uh uh uh. Not "one main watch", the question is "one watch", period. No fair changing the rules.
So, if you only had your Oris (lovely and versatile as it is), would/could you be content? Or is there another, single watch, to be your only one, that you could be happy with forever?

Theoretically, there could be one watch. Though I have no idea what it would be.
I vote no. Perhaps if that perfect, ultimate piece would show its face then I may change my response but until then that's the way it is.

I think DA hit the nail on the head and points out a third option in your poll, "Maybes, if I ever found it". For some people it's the "getting" not the "having". For some it's about diversity of choice, for others it's about hording and quantity, for others it's about quality and maybe for some it's about that search for "the one" that if they ever did find they'd stop buying and wear it exclusively.
And then there's the rest of us who just like watches...

I'm certain most of you will find my answer a bit strange, but I would say: yes. I like to have options, I have no intention to give up my bunch of watches but, if money was no object and all that, yes, I could happily live with just one watch. And no, I'm not being ironic. Now if you ask me which watch, I would have to think hard......so, please, don't.

I have never been good at following rules! Rebellious from the start.
Yes, I would be content with only my Oris (if changing straps were allowed.) But...I would want at least one beater!

For me, not. I'm a bit of a watch whore.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Sorry, but then I still count you as a "no." A beater counts as a second watch.
You rebel, you.
