No, they’re not watches emblazoned with flesh-eating fish! UNDONE has partnered with the renowned Piranha Tattoos studio to create a new range of its customisable timepieces.
Introducing the UNDONE Piranha Series

For those unfamiliar with the brand, UNDONE has the unique selling point of all parts of its watches being customisable. Okay, so it’s more Subway sandwich than Savile Row but, nevertheless, the brand offers a level of customisation well above any other watch manufacturer in the affordable category. UNDONE watches are based around a few themes – Urban (actually two different chronograph layouts), “Basecamp” a kind of sports watch and the Aqua diver. You can design your watch online from one of these bases with the “UNDONE Customizer“.
Are UNDONE watches any good? We reviewed the Urban Tropical last year and found it to be a perfectly serviceable watch, albeit a touch expensive if you opt for a “standard” design.
UNDONE Piranha Tattoo Studio Watches

The Piranha watches are based around the Urban and Aqua templates. They feature tattoo-like designs that can be emblazoned across the dial to create a truly unique timepiece. The three designs are based on artwork by the artists from Piranha Studios: Johnny Domus, Jose Almeida and Diogo Minhoto.

UNDONE Piranha Studios – First Impressions

Given that the watches are a known quantity, the appeal of the Piranha studios range is entirely down to whether you like the designs or not. We think they look good, especially the Tiger design, which seems to balance with the watch face best out of the three.
