    this feels like their something missing off this quartz movement but can't put my finger on what any clues ?

    And I’m not sure you should be able to see the datewheel teeth so it’s missing a pcb or insulator of some kind.

    yeah believe their would be as you say a green insulator piece that fits round the contact to stop it shorting which would hide the teeth also the battery catch is bent down

    I'm not good at quartz movements so I'd just add a battery, caseback and a strap.

    I’ve got a couple with that movement, both look like that and both work. So if it is missing, then it’s not fatal.

    well they had tried a battery in it but would not work so was willing to buy for a certain price but went higher then I wanted to pay

    I know these seikos and the prices they sell for sold a load of them just sold two the other day will be selling my latest one soon too as getting bored of it . so fix them for fun but no point paying more then I could sell it for the rest looked mint

    it was probably looking at it that the battery holder was bent down so was not holding it in place and possible causing not to fit at a guess ..but they do need the insulator patch too really
