Fall has finally fallen, and that means cozy sweaters, apple picking, Halloween, and yes, our annual New York City Windup Watch Fair! This October, Windup is returning to Chelsea Market for a three-day watch extravaganza! Here’s the rundown. Windup launched in 2015 to be a watch event for everyone. Windup showcases brands ranging from new independents with just a few models to larger Swiss and German houses with rich histories and deep catalogs. What ties the brands together is that they all have a unique perspective and their products offer a great value. Windup is also all about getting our readers in front of watches and the people that make them, and to that end the Fair is always free and open to the public. So whether you’re a seasoned watch-head or someone considering their first timepiece, come on by and take a look.
Mark your calendars! The 2019 New York City Windup Watch Fair will be hosted at Chelsea Market (75 9th Avenue) on October 25th through the 27th. Hours of operation are:

Coming all the way from Scotland, anOrdain watches feature beautiful enamel dials made in-house by a small group of skilled craftspeople. From the distinct typeface to the execution of the enameling, anOrdain has, in a short amount of time, developed a really unique design language that’s won over a loyal following. We’re looking forward to people checking out their watches, specifically their new Model 2, which they first debuted at Windup Watch Fair San Francisco earlier this year. Astor+Banks


Based out of Chicago, Astor+Banks makes small-batch runs of USA-assembled pilot and marine-inspired watches. Their latest watch, the highly acclaimed Sea Ranger,*may just be their best one yet. It features an exciting mix of cues, blending field watch elements with dive watch specs to create a great, all-around sports watch. Autodromo


Autodromo founder and designer Bradley Price is a car guy through and through, and it shows in his collection of automtotive-inspired watches. Price masterfully captures the motorsport spirit in each of his collections, like the ‘80s-inspired Group B Series 2, which features a bracelet that completely changes the look of the Group B. Baltic


Founded by Etienne Malec, Baltic is a relatively young brand out of France that made a splash when they launched a Kickstarter campaign focused on bringing accessibly priced, vintage-inspired mechanical chronographs and three-hand watches to the market. They’ve since grown their range to include a great old-school diver, so if you like classic, mid-century designs, then Baltic is a must-see. Baltic



Bespoke Watch Projects


Offering watches in extremely limited editions, Bespoke Watch Projects focuses on giving their customers a more personal touch. Each watch is created to the specifications of the client, and final assembly takes place in the firm’s Oakland, California studio. The possibilities are endless, and they’ll be unveiling a line of new, in-house engraved “Intaglio” dials right at the show, so don’t miss out for your chance at a first look at these. Bravur


Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Bravur was founded in 2011 by two industrial designers. A little contemporary and a little minimalist, Bravur’s watches somehow manage to look familiar and yet totally unique all at the same time. They first began with design-forward quartz pieces, but have since expanded into offering beautiful mechanical pieces that blend Swedish design and Swiss quality. Their most recent watch is the limited edition Bravur Geography GMT, so be sure to get some hands-on time with that one when you stop by. Bravur
Brew Watch Co.


Brew made a splash in 2015 when they launched their inaugural collection of watches inspired by coffee. The resulting timepieces, however, weren’t literal interpretations, with the designs instead pulling on clever cues to create beautiful and unique timepieces. That approach has continued to this day with their latest collection, the Retrograph, a ’60s-inspired chronograph with some subtle design cues that’ll appeal to your inner coffee lover.
