Fall has finally fallen, and that means cozy sweaters, apple picking, Halloween, and yes, our annual New York City Windup Watch Fair! This October, Windup is returning to Chelsea Market for a three-day watch extravaganza! Here’s the rundown. Windup launched in 2015 to be a watch event for everyone. Windup showcases brands ranging from new independents with just a few models to larger Swiss and German houses with rich histories and deep catalogs. What ties the brands together is that they all have a unique perspective and their products offer a great value. Windup is also all about getting our readers in front of watches and the people that make them, and to that end the Fair is always free and open to the public. So whether you’re a seasoned watch-head or someone considering their first timepiece, come on by and take a look.
Mark your calendars! The 2019 New York City Windup Watch Fair will be hosted at Chelsea Market (75 9th Avenue) on October 25th through the 27th. Hours of operation are:
Friday, October 25th: 11:00am – 6:00pmSaturday, October 26th: 11:00am – 7:00pmSunday, October 27th: 11:00am – 5:00pm
We have a really exciting lineup for you this year, and over the next three weeks we’ll be going over all the the great participating brands and what they have in store for you at the show.

Oris – Lead Sponsor

Oris is a bedrock Windup brand, and this year we’re excited to have them back as Windup’s Lead Sponsor. 2019 was an incredibly good year for the Swiss independent, with killer watches like the Prodiver Dive Control LE kicking things off in January, followed by an exceptional Baselworld, and most recently we saw the release of the technically-impressive Big Crown ProPilot X Calibre 115. If you’ve been wanting to get your hands on their most recent watches, then you’re going to want to swing by the Oris booth. Oh! They’ll also have a cool VR display on-hand for you to experience the movement inside the ProPilot X in a really unique way. Oris

Christopher Ward – Feature Sponsor

Christopher Ward are back at Windup, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. This UK-based fan-favorite has been releasing hit after hit over the last year, with a total revamp of their Trident series, followed by a stunning new moonphase, and most recently, the C60 Apex diver. We’ve been following this brand from the early days of Worn & Wound, and they’ve just been getting better and better. We’re excited to welcome them back to the show this year!*Christopher Ward
StockX – Feature Sponsor

Detroit-based StockX is an innovative online platform billed as the “Stock Market of Things” aimed at fostering a buying/selling experience that values transparency and authenticity above all else. Similar to the way one would buy stock on the NYSE, StockX uses a bid/ask model where potential buyers anonymously bid on a watch. If a bid matches an anonymous seller’s asking price, a sale is made. As always, they’ll have a bunch of great, often-hard-to-get watches on-hand, so be sure*to spend some time at their booth checking out those great pieces and talking watches with their team.*StockX

Yema – Feature Sponsor

Yema is a storied French brand with some major cachet in vintage collector circles, and we’re thrilled to welcome them to Windup this year. Yema was started in 1948 by French watchmaker Louis Belmont, and over the years Yema has produced numerous iconic watches, many of them tied to the world of racing. Today, the brand continues to push the envelop while embracing their past, *coming out with excellent, value-packed watches like the recent “Andretti” Rallye limited edition and Speedgraf chronograph. Yema
Zodiac – Feature Sponsor

Founded in 1882 in Le Locle, Switzerland, Zodiac boasts archives and achievements that run deep. From the iconic and colorful Sea Wolf to the eccentric Olympos and Astrographic, Zodiac has a unique vision of what a watch can be. Over the last few years, Zodiac watches have made a return to prominence amongst the watch enthusiast community, and year after year the catalog gets more varied and impressive, so you’ll definitely want to swing by their booth to see what they’ve been up to. Zodiac
ADPT Strap

Three years in the making, ADPT Strap is our collection of nylon watch straps made entirely in the United States, from the nylon and hardware down to the thread itself. We have a great collection of colors perfect for fall, and you’ll be able to shop the entire collection at the show. ADPT

anOrdain

Coming all the way from Scotland, anOrdain watches feature beautiful enamel dials made in-house by a small group of skilled craftspeople. From the distinct typeface to the execution of the enameling, anOrdain has, in a short amount of time, developed a really unique design language that’s won over a loyal following. We’re looking forward to people checking out their watches, specifically their new Model 2, which they first debuted at Windup Watch Fair San Francisco earlier this year. They’ll also have on-hand a selection of interesting samples and prototypes for sale. anOrdain
Astor+Banks

Based out of Chicago, Astor+Banks makes small-batch runs of USA-assembled pilot and marine-inspired watches. Their latest watch, the highly acclaimed Sea Ranger,*may just be their best one yet. It features an exciting mix of cues, blending field watch elements with dive watch specs to create a great, all-around sports watch. If you were on the fence during their Kickstarter campaign (which ended successfully), then you’ll definitely want to check these out in the metal. Astor+Banks

Autodromo

Autodromo founder and designer Bradley Price is a car guy through and through, and it shows in his collection of automtotive-inspired watches. Price masterfully captures the motorsport spirit in each of his collections, like the ‘80s-inspired Group B Series 2, which features a bracelet that completely changes the look of the Group B. Be sure to check out their latest, the Group B Corsica, at the show. Autodromo
Baltic

Founded by Etienne Malec, Baltic is a relatively young brand out of France that made a splash when they launched a Kickstarter campaign focused on bringing accessibly priced, vintage-inspired mechanical chronographs and three-hand watches to the market. They’ve since grown their range to include a great old-school diver, so if you like classic, mid-century designs, then Baltic is a must-see. Baltic

Bespoke Watch Projects

Offering watches in extremely limited editions, Bespoke Watch Projects focuses on giving their customers a more personal touch. Each watch is created to the specifications of the client, and final assembly takes place in the firm’s Oakland, California studio. The possibilities are endless, and they’ll be unveiling a line of new, in-house engraved “Intaglio” dials right at the show, so don’t miss out for your chance at a first look at these. Bespoke Watch Projects

Bravur

Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Bravur was founded in 2011 by two industrial designers. A little contemporary and a little minimalist, Bravur’s watches somehow manage to look familiar and yet totally unique all at the same time. They first began with design-forward quartz pieces, but have since expanded into offering beautiful mechanical pieces that blend Swedish design and Swiss quality. Their most recent watch is the limited edition Bravur Geography GMT, so be sure to get some hands-on time with that one when you stop by. Bravur
Brew Watch Co.

Brew made a splash in 2015 when they launched their inaugural collection of watches inspired by coffee. The resulting timepieces, however, weren’t literal interpretations, with the designs instead pulling on clever cues to create beautiful and unique timepieces. That approach has continued to this day with their latest collection, the Retrograph, a ’60s-inspired chronograph with some subtle design cues that’ll appeal to your inner coffee lover.
