Strange cat

Other than his penchant for violence, he really isn't untypical for the cats we've had; handled a lot as a kitten, heavily socialized, lots of play and encouraging their curiosity and intelligence yields cats like him. He's the fourth "highly intelligent" cat we've lived with. I don't think we've been lucky. I think it's the way we treat them.

I didn't have any charge left in my phone so no pictures, but I took him to a kids playground last night and I think you would have found him scaling the rock climbing wall quite amusing.

When Lilith was a kitten, she had two settings: Sleep, and Bite. We found her as a giveaway on Facebook. The family claimed their child was allergic, but I honestly suspect she was a found feral kitten that they couldn't handle. My technique for establishing dominance was always to grab the neck scruff and pull her off of whatever appendage she was attacking. She has bled me plenty, and established to Freyja how and when to pet a kitty. But otherwise, 7 years on she's rather typical as well, and a closer family member than some of the humans we're related to.

My wife’s grandma’s cat Toby. He’s an indoor/outdoor cat they estimate at 15 years young.

He’s under the care of a vet, yes. Old Toby is missing a few teeth as well.
