Our motley crew.
Kamali'i. My little snuggle bum. I adopted her from a friend who lost his business, and home. He got her from the SPCA. She has a permanent home here now!
Mango. A feral who showed up in our back 40. After he let is know he wasn't leaving, I put the trap out, caught him, got him to the vet for exam and neuter. Seven years on, he's still very wary of people, but loves our other cats.
Dusty. Someone's former pet, rescued from living under a pile of tires in an industrial park. She's still frightened by loud noises and sudden movements:
Domino. A collateral rescue. Our rescue society was doing TNR when the rescue volunteer learned a kitten was being abused by some *&(%^$^ kids. He was beaten, terrorized, kicked around. The rescue volunteer grabbed Domino and got him to the vet along with the trapped ferals. He spent two years in foster care learning to trust humans, and we adopted him after that. He's still skittish, but becoming more affectionate and slowly learning to relax around people:
Nahanni. Abandoned in a local campground. We got the call last November; I put out the trap and got her on the first try. Off to the vet for exam and spay, and she's turned into a lovely, affectionate companion:
~Sherry.

James
Shown here with my eldest daughter
He is old and diabetic now which means he has to have insulin injections twice a day. He gets bribed with some chicken to stay still enough for his jab and he is used to our inexpert fumbling
