Wristwatch Review - Introducing the Eliana Twilight Glint

We are not often sent women’s watches to look at, so it is with interest that we reveal the new Eliana Twilight Glint timepiece.
    Introducing Eliana Watches

Eliana noticed that when it comes to watches, most female timepieces today are quartz watches (pretty on the outside, but with cheap battery-powered movements on the inside). The company seeks to change that by making
mechanical and automatic timepieces aimed at women. Eliana says it is proud to be one of the few watch ‘micro-
brands’ in the world dedicated to creating mechanical timepieces for women.

Eliana’s debut timepiece, the Twilight Glint features a cut-out on the dial and a transparent caseback to reveal its 21 jewel Miyota automatic movement. It has a 28mm case in rose gold or silver. The company claims that its key design feature is a carbon ‘nanomaterial’ watch face that absorbs almost 99% of light, making its Swarovski crystal time-markers look as though they are floating in space. If you prefer something more conservatively, there is also a grey linen dial option.
The Twilight Glint comes with either a metal bracelet with a butterfly clasp or a calf-leather strap in greyish-brown (for the silver model)or oxblood (for the rosegold model).
We’ve avoided giving first impressions as ladies watches simply are not out area of expertise, so we would be very interested to hear what our female readers think of the Eliana Twilight Glint: they claim that women’s automatic timepieces make up less the 1 per cent of the worldwide watch market, so have they identified a market niche to grow, or have they missed the point altogether?
