Every time I think of another watch to "fit" into my collection it ends up getting spit out because I have what I want already. I guess I've never been so much a collector than I am a watch "user", which is why I purged over 100 watches early on in my reinvigorated journey back in 2012.
If I'll add anything, it will be a diver style watch, but then again, I already have so many in that category, it would have to be very special.

On your mind
I have a lot on order from the R brand namely all in SS a Skydweller (Black or White dial), Deep Blue, Daytona Panda and some day a Rose or White gold Yachtmaster. More on order includes the Moser, and I have a limited edition Pilot watch that I talked about(at least as far as what I can say). Possibly a Tudor BB P01. So nothing that I have not been talking about for a while now. I've also mentioned trying to find a preowned GS SS Diver.
The Oris, Zodiac and Rado have actually been good impulse buys IMO.
I also need to get a 20mm Omega rubber strap to fit the ceramic SMP and the ceramic Deployant. I love the watch, but hate the clunky strap with too widely spaced holes. It keeps me from wanting to wear it. Richard sent me one that the AD in Miami got a strap to fit.

There's nothing tormenting my mind, right now. Sure, there are always a few watches I wouldn't mind getting, but then I take a look at the bunch of watches I already have and I choose to ignore the impulse; it has worked so far.
Eventually, I may get something from the "cheap/ doesn't matter/ don't worry" category - something I usually wouldn't take into consideration, but potentially fun to wear.

That's my first pre-order and the first time I've paid retail. Time will tell on the price and just how good it is. Ground-breaking may be a stretch but I have a feeling this will be spectacular: a laser-etched camo print on a DLC all-titanium gshock square, with sapphire.
What's on my mind beyond the pending arrival of the above is my approach. I feel like it's unravelling a little, so here's the cautionary tale. 2019 was supposed to be about consolidation and I started the year with neither Seiko nor Casio in the stable. I thought I was on my way out of this addiction, twice. Now I have nearly a dozen more watches than I started with and the list of watches on their way out has shrunk, so much more thought is needed.
I thought I was going dressier with fewer sports and/or beater pieces at the beginning of the year. Now it's going in the other direction and the core collection is blowing out from 4-6 to 7-9. I haven't started looking at additional watch boxes but I feel that sense of inevitability and defeat building.
First came the Rolex pivot. I planned to exit with a Milgauss, slowly consolidating down around that. When it came time, the Rolex steel watches just aren't me. They feel like they're worth about half the asking price and that puts them in a no man's land where none of it makes sense. I went with the Grand Seiko kirazuri instead and am very happy with it. The theme of the plan didn't really change: consolidate around the kirazuri.
I felt comfortable enough to say sure I'll go in when strolling past the Seiko shop. I'd never even tried one on before but a few weeks of research later, I have two Seiko divers. What's worse is they have shattered my spec-comfort acquisition guidelines and my watch-connoisseur two-year-old son loves their bezels. So they're not going anywhere and worryingly, I can't just reject out of hand any 41+mm watches.
Then came the Casio renaissance. I purchased a series of Casios earlier in the year that I haven't worn since, initially thinking it would beef up the beater category in response to my two-year-old son breaking bracelets on more expensive pieces. I had them marked for sale. Then Casio announced the ridiculous camo titanium number. I brought the Casios out of retirement to work out which ones I was keeping if any and my son loves these too, colours, beeps, buttons and all.
I've increased the rotation frequency to have different looks at more pieces and try to keep things fresh, enjoying and comparing what I have a bit more.

I'm not so much a watch collector as a watch addict. So, although I pretend to be satisfied with a bunch of little wiggly machines that overcompensate for the intended task, I am likely to buy something on a whim when I see it at a fair price. Case in point, at this moment someone is selling an Oris Coltrane - which I have loved ever since it came out. I look at it over and over and ponder buying it, but I have so many other nice thin simple watches I think "I really don't need that." So I will try to let it slip away before I cave in.
Others? Sure, modern 39mm lume Rolex Explorer 1,
maybe JLC Master Control (40mm old dial, not Sector dial), or JLC Reverso Duo Midsize. Grand Seiko either Snowflake or Automatic. If they weren't so thick and wide, I already might have one of these SARW 035
Then toying with a certain look that I like, there's the Chronoswiss Kairos, Ulysse Nardin Marine and Dual Time to look at. Also the Breguet Marine. I lump these in a similar family, for irrational reasons, but it's unlikely I will go down this path.
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Those Maxi Marines are really, really nice. Love those.
Once in awhile you get shown the light in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

Get the Lange Saxonia Moonphase retire and call it a day. Can't get any more special than that.

I've been eyeing these as well. Though the 104 on H Link and the Oris as a blue dial.

The only thing about the Sinn I'm on the fence about is it's polished. Wish it were brushed instead. There are rumors brushed or matte versions are in the works. They already have it in the black dial but it sold out in a heartbeat.
