Who actually makes these inane statements ? "...a lot of really young people came to Newquay and knew they had a good chance of getting drunk." Yeah, because they couldn't get drunk anywhere else, could they ?!

They think the antisocial behaviour has reduced because of a ban on mankinis?! Who writes this shite?

As someone who has visited Newquay a large number of times in the last 40 years, I have to say that the late 90s and early 2000s were awful.
It changed from a nice seaside town to a nightclub ridden hole. Hordes of people would go there because it was seen as a party town.
We stopped going there because of the potential for getting caught up in some trouble while enjoying a quiet walk along the town.

And no! I don't have and will never have or wear a Mankini!

Thanks for clearing up that bit of potential confusion.

So much of this is confusing. Newquay? Wasn't that the sidekick in Moby Dick? Mankini? Like the character from The Soup?

I was once supposed to go to a stag do in Newquay. I believe I stumbled upon an excuse for remaining marooned in the north. I've never regretted it for a second

Newquay is a seaside town in Cornwall, UK.
Was a nice place to visit for families.
Became a party town for teens/ stag/ hen nights.
    Now being reclaimed.
