    === DONGFENG ?===

    Hi all just wanted to share my new purchase with you. Also I'm hoping that some of you experts (Martin, Odark30, and Ric c, Hked) can tell me what I have here . I know itís a Dongfeng 19 jewel from the 60ís 70ís? And it is keeping very good time. With some info I have found it seems ok but I am not sure about the second hand .It has obviously had a clean-up(not me)and I am a bit suspicious of the marks on the dial centre , at first I thought were ageing marks but now I think are where a hand removal tool has been? I cannot show a movement pic only the sellerís one as I have not got the correct tool (yet). Overall I am very pleased it looks good and works ok, Iíll probably change the strap. Please donít worry about offending me if itís a dog I'm very thick skinned, and did not pay a lot for it. Thanks for looking, DW. And now for some picís...

    Looks good!
    Caseback and movement are correct, and the dial also looks good to me.
    Nice catch!

    Very nice Martin . Its the meatball second hand that's throwing me. Did some have them and some not? DW.

    Nice catch! Everything looks good to me. Yes, some had the meatball and some didn't.

    one night I dreamed I was locked in my fathers watch, with Ptolemy and twenty one ruby stars mounted on spheres and the primum mobile coiled and gleaming to the end of space and the notched spheres eating each other's rinds to the last tooth of time and the case closed - John Ciardi ...
