    well before the chocolate company's took it over ( and not just chocolate company's )

    the advent calendar was latin for the coming ...supposedly this was Jesus coming in to the world and Christians use the four Sundays and weeks of Advent to prepare and remember the real meaning of Christmas..

    one of the reason I hate Christmas the true means is gone and it's just full of greed .gluttony , selfishness

    That's really all it is? There's no, like, special thing about them? I first heard about them in Bad Santa, but I didn't know they were a real thing.
