It could be something simple, like a screw loose. This happened to my Dad on a new Hamilton. I have a good relationship with a local watchmaker who spent 20 minutes with the watch and had the screw back in place.

There's a thread at the other place about Zodiac movement - and service - issues. I can't speak for stateside service but I'd have Rob handle it for you if it's under warranty.
I had issues with the STP3-13 chronometer in my ZO9265. Service in Australia is abysmal so I had my guy fix it. He needed two attempts but got there in the end. Strangely, no issues with either STP1-11 in ZO6603 and ZO9505 (chronometer).
There is talk of shoehorning an ETA into these. If they can put 2893s in the GMTs, surely it's possible for what is basically the same case. I'd love to get one of the C07.611s with 80hr power reserve in these cases. I couldn't give a flying f*** about the date.

What was the issue with your STP 3-13?

It was always really variable and flaky in timing but first time round if I had to pick a number I'd say it was running 20s+ fast per day. I sent it off for warranty repair with Zodiac service in Australia. It came back a bit better initially but soon deteriorated. I took it to my guy when it hit 120s fast per day. When he returned it to me, it stopped after a few days. Then under his warranty he had another go. It's now circa 8-10s fast but it's steady-ish and until I can get the aforementioned ETA 80hr reserve movements in there, it'll do.

I would call Rob since this is a Topper Edition watch and not very old. I let him know you would be calling. He should be able to help you.

I spoke with Rob today.
He had already followed up with Zodiac to give them a heads up about my watch. They said that they'd expedite the repair, all being handled through Topper. Rob said, "even though you didn't buy the watch here we'll treat you like you did".
He also followed up on a half link for my Zenith.
Great service.

I am unsurprised. Rob and Topper are a first class act.
