    ochs und junior mass exodus

Just learned (and confirmed on their website) that Beat Weinmann has left ochs, taking Sandra Fluck, Cail Pearce, Kevin Hoffman and Isabelle Ruckstuhl with him. That's essentially everyone other than Mr. Oechslin.

I have no idea what this means for the future of the brand, but it certainly won't make things easy in the short run, since that's basically all of their watchmakers in addition to their marketing/customer interface guy.

I sure hope the brand survives, it's one of the most innovative and original ones out there.

That's a shame, as I love looking at pictures of your beautiful moon phase. On the bright side, maybe it means a really interesting new brand in the nascent stage?
Too many watches, not enough wrists.

Hmmm, something must have happened for founding members to jump ship

Rumor is that Ulysse Nardin, already an investor, will take a more active role. Remember that Oechslin has always maintained a continuing relationship with UN. And the ochs perpetual calendar uses a UN movement. An optimist would say this could be a good thing in terms of investment and continuity. A pessimist would say they will lose some independence.

    Time will tell.

well depends mean you have junior minister . and in watchmaking terms junior is just a rank think sometimes people can get to sensitive maybe to me it's just a term like junior vs senior so well thats how I looked at it in terms of experience are they not junior ?

use to do some climbing and abseiling twenty odd years ago I fell did not really hurt myself but put me off I suppose as ant climb since plus not as confident with heights as I once was

suppose with age one comes to the realisation that we are not as invulnerable as we think we are
