Off to a hat parade, then date night at a new gallery. Seemed appropriate.

I really miss tennis. Used to play competitively years ago, and still played some until a few years ago when I trashed my ACL (just running on the treadmill) and had to have it replaced. I live in fear that if I play again, I'll blow out the other one. Not going to go through that rehab again...

Sorry to hear that Micor. I only took it up a few years ago and I’m not very good but I enjoy it a lot. And since I stopped running it’s about the only exercise I get. Which is probably why I’m several stones heavier than I should be!

I can’t run any distance, either. I mean, I can run, but the impact is just too much for the knees. The good news is I can still stay in reasonably good shape—I do intervals for half an hour every morning on the elliptical, and then take a mile and a half walk every afternoon. But impact stuff like I used to do (running, tennis, basketball) isn’t doable. I still count my blessings that I’m pretty healthy for my age...
