Options for new strap on Blackbay
As sticky weather approaches I am looking to move away from the leather strap on my Blackbay - I have not yet got the Tudor bracelet so was looking at alternatives.
I spotted this pic on Google images, gives a vintage mesh appearance - any views.
I have asked a question on the Strapcode website and waiting for a reply as I can't seem to find this item on the site.
Any other Blackbay owners have different straps?

Have you tried any rubber straps? I use a Hirsch Pure rubber strap regularly on a couple different watches. Very comfortable, even on hot days.

Sometimes I wear mine on Hirsch Grand Duke
but if you want something more appropriate for a swim, you may want to try the new Hirsch Performance Series. Some models are supposed to be WR, they're extremely comfortable and quite cool.

I have had some of the Hirsch performance straps but they were not 22mm so didn't try on the BB, I like that yellow but may prefer rubber to Nato.
Maybe a thick brown Shell Cordovan - any recomendations?

Hirsch Performance straps look and feel great for summer weather

I like it on the mesh, and I am not normally a mesh fan.

I think it would look great on a (distressed) canvas strap (DrunkArtStraps, Drew etc)

There are some decent rubber backed leathers out there too.

Be interested to hear what they come back with about the mesh in OP.....
It'll likely not be available over here (if at all @ 18mm) and/or be prohibitively expensive; but I reckon it would look perfect on this old Timex:
