Disaster movies, too, often had large casts.

A Bridge Too Far (1977) is one to watch with a bingo card:
Dirk Bogarde, James Caan, Michael Caine, Sean Connery, Edward Fox, Gene Hackman, Anthony Hopkins, Laurence Olivier, Ryan O’Neal, Robert Redford
It's the final countdown! PM me before they're all gone!

    Martine McCutcheon doesn’t count.

Not that I have anything against her...

Vic Albrecht III on August 6, 2020

    Who?

He was a classmate of mine. We graduated HS in 1977. I never really knew him much. He was a jock, and despite being pre-Apple/Microsoft days, I was a geek. I happened to take a shining to a short gal named Patsy. I was equally perturbed when she spurned me for him. Not that I could blame her. He was, after all, a jock. And much closer to her height.

But I guess they were meant for each other. They married over 39 years ago. And I thought I was doing good at 38 years. I had reconnected with them at a reunion fall of 2019. It was nice to see them together. They both looked good and looked better together.

But Vic had a dark secret. He was preceded in death by his sister at age 50 and his baby brother at age 49. Vic was able to run the gas tank out at age 59. Don't know what it was, but it was quick and efficient.

RIP Vic. I never really knew you, but I mourn for you. Sorry for your loss Patsy, just days short of your 39th anniversary. Hope to see you smile again one day.

Maybe the finest classical guitarist of all time, Julian Bream. I remember him being on TV quite a lot as I was growing up.
