    Thank you for your condolences. We weren’t close. We were in the same lab for about a year, early in my career. He was a few years older than I was and he left for a lectureship in Glasgow while I was still a lowly graduate student. We haven’t talked in many years.

    Apart from sadness at the news, I mentioned it for two reasons. He’s the first person I know to have died of covid. And I don’t know many people whose passing would make news outlets or Wikipedia.

    Well imagine that. New news is coming out about the wife. It appears she may be unbalanced, been in trouble lots of online rants,, hated the husband, yada, yadaa. She's being investigated, could turn into something much darker.
