    Some of my favorites.

    1. A couple shots from a local camping trip in Jasper.

And from a recent trip off the coast of Long Beach. Note what's in the mouth of the mother in the second picture - they were actually training their calves to hunt a sea lion. A very interesting thing to watch.

Is it me or are the squirrel's in both cases trying to strike a pose almost, and trying to look rather distinguished, despite them being 'just a squirrel' ?

Haha - I noticed the same thing. In fact it seems that most squirrel pictures I take has them in a similar kind of pose. I like to imagine that they're thinking something along the lines of what you suggested - "yes, I am just a squirrel. But gosh darn it - I'm cute enough, I'm wild enough, and I'm good enough for people to want to take a picture of."

This bugger scared the hell out of me one morning.
I jumped in the shower and straight back out again.

Bit hard feeding it with one hand and taking a mobile pic with the other gloved hand

Allowed me to get very close. No zoom on mobile phone.

Even closer but a bit blurred
