    Cotopaxi!

Cotopaxi. Sound familiar? It ain't just an Ecuadoran volcano.
The SS Cotopaxi was a 253 ft. bulk carrier that sailed into the land of mythology and urban legend, disapearing in the Bermuda Triangle on Dec. 1, 1925, later to be
found plopped down by aliens in the desert in the Hollywood blockbuster "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".

Far from being a mysterious disappearance, she sailed directly into a tropical storm and radioed that she was listing and taking on water.

That was her last contact with the real world before slipping beneath the waves and entering the realms of ancient astronauts, UFOs, and Harry Potter.

It now seems she's been found off the coast of northern Florida, right where you'd expect to find her. Under water.
I hope they find either the USS Cyclops or flight 19 before I shuffle off this mortal coil.

It's also a great song by The Mars Volta.

I heard about the shipwreck, that's wild. It's funny, things like the Bermuda Triangle and quicksand were stuff I thought about as a kid all the time, and now when I read this, I was like "Oh, yeah, the Bermuda Triangle is a thing."

I remember going to the Bahamas on a family vacation and having a real fear that we would be sucked into the Bermuda Triangle and never be heard from again.

Unbelievable nonsense. Everybody knows he was a busker in Goa known as Jungle Barry, and that he then moved to a remote ranch in Botswana. A shoemaker in London has a wooden model of his foot and is still sending packages.

I found this really interesting when I read the story a couple of days ago.

I remember being beyond fascinated when they found Richard III under a parking lot.

And I guess they're pretty sure they've found Amelia Earhart as well.

I’ve been to Leicester, and they’ve done a pretty good job of preserving the unexpectedness of his burial site in the car park

His new tomb in the cathedral is a bit ott, though

    They got back together!?!?!?!?!?!?

I had heard of them, but then they randomly were the opening act for a concert I went to (I want to say it was the Audioslave concert I went to in Atlantic City) and I was enthralled. Right after that, I got super into them. They're amazing.
