Time stands still - HMT watches
I read this in the paper this morning, then googled it to see if I can post a link (love how we pay for a subscription, yet available online for free )
The article is about an Indian mechanical watch company nearly going out of business. It's sad, but probably a harsh reality.

Well, If you want an HMT pilot, there are millions on the internet. I Brought six back from India in '93 and they haven't changed since. At all.

To be fair, it isn't surprising considering their QC made Vostok look like Rolex...

A twenty year old used hmt would have been better than the brand new one I got last year. Truly terrible.

think it was talked about last year but did it not get a cash in flux and it was going to survive think some one famous funded it ? but could be remembering it wrong ? yes I would deffo go old hmt over new there is a whole world of deference and the new ones have that annoying issue with the clutch cog and the quality seems much lower in the newer one's or the few I have had anyway
