Seems to be a common gripe around here.

Tudor: The heritage designs are a hit, perhaps its time for an updated Big Block Panda ?
    Omega: Please slim down.

I once saw a sensibly-sized chrono of theirs - I presumed it was deemed a ladies model. And I guessed it had a 2892 plus module?

I once actually emailed them on this topic. No plans for a movement that fits in a sub-42mm case.

And have a second hand. And look just a tiny bit more like the JLC moon, but at the same superb price.

I did actually tell fc to make a smaler one and I'd promise to buy it, at a watch show last year.

And this is a disappointment. I'm not sure it matters with some other, bigger watch brands (Rolex, Omega, Tag, Panerai, other popular ones, etcetera) it really matters, or, conversely, it actually helps them out a bit (to be in line with current trends), but this may hurt RGM's sales. They are as big of a niche-market watch brand as one could get, and I'm sure the majority of people that RGM's watches appeal to are really into all aspects of watches (design, haute horology, history, craftsmanship), and it seems that this type of person prefers watches with more traditional case-sizes. Look at ALS with its 1815 collection. They started off with around a 35mm case size. Then, to compete with contemporary trends, moved the case size up to 40mm. But, in its latest iteration of this watch, moved the case size back down to a fair 38.5. Now, I know I'm comparing a dressier watch to a sportier watch, but I just think traditionalists prefer a smaller watch, regardless.

Some may say, what's a few millimeters? But at 43.3mm wide by 12.3mm in height, it has a helluva lot more volume than my watch at 40mm by 8.15mm.
