Decent, non-homagey, analogue GMT watch
What are the options here? I used to have a Robert Poseidon GMT which was superb, but too much of a homage; then a Citizen BJ9130, which I loved apart from the fact that the colours of the hands clashed.
GMT is one of those complications I keep coming back to, but I can't find the perfect affordable...

How about the Victorinox Infantry GMT? I like the looks of this (a la Iyonk)
Affordable quartz, clean design, 38 or 40mm depending on who you believe
Some good deals to be had

That is nice.... Like you say a very clean understated design....

Cheers! The Seiko and Timex are both really nice. The Alpha is too, but too much of a homage

Citizen BJ9130-05E (if you can find one) or Nighthawk?
Edit: just noticed you've already owned the first one...

I really like that black Timex!

CItizen Nighthawk would be my choice.... solid watch with a great bracelet.
Had this one and regret selling it, the version with the white internal bezel does not come up for sale a lot.

Thanks. I've actually owned a Nighthawk as well. Very good watch for the price, but a little large for me and I found the GMT part hard to read.
For me the pinnacle in terms of usability is the GMT-Master's layout with a nice big GMT hand and rotating bezel.
