No we don't have a clock forum here (yet.) We stick mostly to watches. Personally I haven't had a cuckoo clock in many years although I do have a grandfather clock.

Everything I know about cuckoo clocks, I learned from Grimm. So I won't be of much help.

Bucherer, and Schmid-Linder are a couple of the larger dealers of cuckoo clocks in Germany and Switzerland. I bought mine at Schmid-Linder in Lucerne; they did a great job of packing it and shipping it home.
