    START watches (Russian?)

I came across one online - anyone know anything about "START" watches? Allegedly made in Russia.

Yup - that's the one. What's your opinion? Any history/details?

well had two as I said they was part of a job lot so they was not in the best of condition after 50 odd years but seem to be sturdy little buggers and if you got one in a1 condition then great to join the collection.

history well comes from the second watch factory from around the 60's they have a few design some had the 2602 movement sound little movement raketa/slava brand that's about all I know oh'd will have a better idea of the history then me

one thing you have to be really careful if clean the dial as the markings are in black print and can come off so easily if not careful ( yep I found out that the hard way )

yeah the state of the dial to start with was terrible it looks half way decent now and seems to be holding the time ok so yes new case and possible new dial in it's future it was to good for stripping down so have keep it as is if I find the right case might not even put a new dial on it

Love that guilloché! In a nice gold-plated case that would look awesome
