Thread: Face moisturisers. Use them? Favourite?

  1. #11
Aren't most modern moisturisers a rip off?
They did a test a while back and they found most had the same "active" ingredients along with a few bits to make them smell nice.
Head to the £ store and buy what they have. Thats what I do.

    Just avoid the nono ingredients.
    methylchloroisothiazolinone and methylisothiazolinone

In my experience the variable that makes a difference is the heaviness of the lotion. If it's too thick it makes the skin feel suffocated. Aqueous cream is great for dry patches on legs etc, put on your face and it feels incredibly clammy and bleah. As with lots of other things, listening out for what your body is wanting helps.

I think what my body really wants is an entirely different skin colour.
The sun here is not very kind to someone like myself of Irish and English heritage.

I have recently changed to Vitru products and find that my skin really like them. Not cheap but they're the only things that seem to work as I get older.

Yes I've noticed that when I get up really early, when the sun is low in the sky and the air is still cool, my body is awash with content

Though mid winter requires a body awash with alcohol.

My God - I've been unknowingly conversing for years with a bunch of METROSEXUALS!

What's next - a discussion on collagen enhanced blush?

I prefer to allow my face to achieve a natural patina.

Don't worry, should you find yourself unintentionally overproximate to some moisturiser, then slip on a diver, as this will anchor your masculinity indubitably

I like C & O Bigelow products, but have wanted to try Jack Black.

No moisturizer, but I do use Hand cream in the winter, by Ray's recommendation Zim's crack cream. It works and I'm eternally grateful Ray!
