    New to watches.

Hello, my name is Michael. I'm new to having a real interest in watches. Presently only own one watch:

I'm interested mainly in watches with a Chronograph feature, and since I enjoy biking and swimming I like them to have a bit of durability.

Thanks all for having me! I hope I learn a lot.

Thank you guys for the warm welcome. I'm a member of some forums spread out across the interwebs. But this seems to be one of the smaller, more comfortable forums I've seen. At least, as far as lurking was able to tell.

No specific acquisitions planned, and can you define "Holy Grail pieces"?

Yep, something that caught your eye years ago, a vintage owned by a beloved relative, a watch you can't or won't pay the asking price for right now. Different things to different people, and for some it's a lifelong quest, while others seem to have a new 'grail' every month!

I'm glad you came out of lurk mode - feel free to jump in anywhere.
